ABOUT US

Founded by an occupational therapist, we are excited to open a first-of-its-kind daycare for tots with special needs in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Our patient and loving teachers collaborate with the therapists on our Advisory Board to create a curriculum that is rich with therapeutic supports to maximize your tot’s development. It is our hope that EVERY child is loved and understood, keeping his/her individual therapeutic goals at the forefront of everything we do. We invite you to read our FAQ’s for more information on this unique approach to child care.

MISSION STATEMENTS

Two of them! ...because we are here for the children AND their families.

To welcome children whose needs cannot be met by a traditional daycare and support them in a safe, engaging, and developmentally-appropriate environment.

To support parents and caregivers of children with medical and/or developmental needs by providing full-time childcare, allowing them to enter/re-enter the workforce, provide for their families, and contribute to the greater good of the community.

CURRICULUM FEATURES

SMALL GROUP SIZES

Lower student-to-teacher ratios allow for more support and closer supervision provided to each child. More details about each group’s ratio and therapeutic goals are available on the “Our Groups” page.

Happy Kids with Books

LANGUAGE SUPPORTS

Visuals, schedules, and simple signs are incorporated into every interaction with our children to enhance communication.

MEALTIME ENRICHMENT

We understand that well-balanced nutrition with a variety of flavors and textures is crucial to a child’s development. Our tots eat their preferred foods while simultaneously having a chance to explore new fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins.

Juicy Bite

ZERO SCREEN TIME

We are committed to learning through all of our senses without relying on visual stimulation to keep your child’s attention.

Kids Playing with Chalk

ACCESSIBLE / ADAPTED PLAY SPACES

ADA-compliant facility and adapted play areas allow for plenty of opportunities for our tots with limited mobility.

MOVEMENT

Our children get a chance to walk, climb, run, and jump whenever their bodies need to move! A significant portion of our day is spent outside, as well as a wide variety of equipment that is available inside the classroom for the tots who like to go, go, go!
